Sofwave™ is an FDA-approved, noninvasive, painless ultrasound treatment that targets collagen regeneration. Some may have heard it referred to as Sofwave™ laser treatments, but it uses ultrasound technology rather than lasers. The proprietary technology creates a thermal zone, producing collagen in the mid-dermis (middle layer). When the skin is gently heated, it begins healing itself by producing collagen. Even though the ultrasound device heats the middle layer of skin, Sofwave™ provides a protective shield through its cooling mechanism (Sofcool™) to protect your top layer of skin.

What To Expect From Sofwave™ Treatment
One of the benefits of Sofwave™ therapy treatments is that they are quick and painless. Most patients only need one treatment to see results.
After your consultation, if you decide Sofwave™ is the right treatment option for you, we will schedule you for your session.
Your provider will apply a topical numbing cream to the target area during your session. Your treatment should be painless, but some patients report a feeling of warmth as the ultrasound energy passes over the area. This warming sensation should not hurt and is well-tolerated by patients.
During your 30-45 treatment, the provider will pass the ultrasound device over the targeted area. Once the entire area is treated, that’s it! There is no post-treatment care required. You can continue your normal activities immediately.
