Neurotoxins

The indication of a neurotoxin or a neuromodulator is Dynamic Wrinkles. The action is to relax targeted muscles to prevent and treat dynamic wrinkles. Our clinic offers three FDA-approved brands: Botox, Dysport, and Xeomin. All three brands are similar in their molecular makeup, clinical applications, and efficacy. They are also often referred to as Wrinkle Relaxers.
The nuanced differences among these agents, on-label and off-label use, side effects, and potential complications should be discussed with your injector. A complimentary consultation is necessary to discuss these treatments and should always be the first step. The results and efficacy vary depending on the patient’s response, dose, skills, and artistry of the injector. Trained and certified medical professionals should be the ones injecting these injectable agents. Please see our blogs if you want to read and learn more about each neurotoxin we offer.

Botox

Botox

BOTOX® Cosmetic is the first FDA approved agent to treat dynamic wrinkles. It temporarily make moderate to severe frown lines, crow’s feet, and forehead lines look better in adults. It is the most well-known wrinkle relaxer in the US cosmetic market with a well established safety and efficacy record.

Dysport

Dysport

Dysport is a neuromodulator, an injection of a small amount of botulinum toxin that treats frown lines when injected into underlying muscle, causing it to relax and gradually smooth out the appearance of the frown lines between the eyebrows. In Dysport clinical studies, more than half of users saw an improvement in their frown lines in just 2-3 days.

Xeomin

Xeomin

Xeomin is a highly purified neurotoxin, used to treat the galbella often referred to as the 11s. We also use it for masseter reduction and hyperhidrosis since both of these treatments requires large dose sometimes up to 100 units each treatment.

HA Dermal Fillers

FDA-approved Hyaluronic Acid dermal fillers are essential tools in medical aesthetics for well-trained, skilled, and artistic medical injectors. HA dermal fillers come to us as clear gels made by different brands: Juvederm, Restylane, and Revanesse Versa are offered in our clinic.

The indications of HA dermal fillers are

  1. Facial contouring
  2. Replacing lost facial volume
  3. Improving the look of static wrinkles depending on the characteristics of each HA filler

Among each brand, different individual HA fillers are manufactured for various purposes. Certain HA fillers are designed for cheeks, such as Juvederm Voluma and Restylane Lyft. And other HA fillers are designed for lips, such as Juvederm Ultra, Restylane Kysse, and Revanesse Versa.

The key take-home points are that these are medical-grade injectable tools, not commodities. When considering getting these injectable treatments, your outcomes are primarily dependent upon the injector’s knowledge about these tools, made the right choice of the right HA filler, the suitable anatomic locations and depth, and the gentle and artistic delivery.

Ask anyone who had fillers done by different injectors; they will tell you that your experience and outcome could vary depending on who is injecting. Renew Aesthetic Clinic’s lead provider Yvonne Yan Duan, FNP, is one of the best injectors and won the AMWC award for Best non-surgical facial rejuvenation finalist in 2022. With Yan leading, medical providers at Renew practice sound judgments of providing a refreshed and beautified appearance without distortion or over-emphasizing one area of the face. PRP Hair and Facial Rejuvenation

PRP Hair and Facial Rejuvenation

What is PRP, and how does it work?

PRP (platelet-rich plasma) has become a highly sought-after non-surgical facial, hair, and skin rejuvenation procedure. PRP therapy involves harvesting your platelets first and then applying the PRP to the target tissue, in this case, the skin, to stimulate new cell growth, helping to improve your complexion and skin texture and to restore lost facial volume.

The collect the platelets, we take your blood and spin it in a centrifuge, which enables the separation of the blood cells from your plasma and platelets. We harvest the concentrated platelets (PRP), which are then re-injected into the skin to stimulate collagen and new skin cells.

Blood volume will be taken depending on how many areas you want to get treated. This is usually between 30 to 60 ml. Your blood is placed in a centrifuge for 10-15 minutes. Once your cells have separated, the rich platelets are extracted and injected into the skin, where rejuvenation is requested.

These treatments' safety and desirable outcomes depend highly on the injector's knowledge, training, skill, and experience. A consultation with one of our injectors is the first step for PRP treatments.

Fat Dissolving Injection

Kybella

Kybella

Kybella is the first injection of its kind that is used to dissolve fat commonly seen in a “double chin.” This procedure is for the patient that does not want surgery. Kybella is composed of deoxycholic acid, a naturally occurring chemical in the body that breaks down fat. Once the fat cells are destroyed, they are gone forever. The main indication for Kybella is submental fullness or excess fat below the chin. Afterward, some swelling or bruising may be visible for a few days, but then over the next month, some reduction in the fat should be seen. An average of 2-4 treatments is typically needed.

This treatment's safety and desirable outcome depend highly on the injector's knowledge, training, skill, and experience. A consultation with one of our injectors is the essential first step for Kybella treatments.
